Puratos Ethiopia announced on October 14, 2021, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, that it has built Ethiopia’s first of its kind food manufacturing factory and innovation hub. The innovation center, which is established at Wello Sefer, Addis Ababa, was officially launched in the presence of invited guests, distinguished clients, and members of the media.
The managing director of the company Edouard Pot explained that the new factory is an innovation hub that is equipped with state of the art technology which will enable in meeting the growing demands of customers for high-quality products.

Puratos, founded in 1919 in Brussels, Belgium, provides a comprehensive range of innovative products, raw materials, and application expertise to the bakery, patisserie, and chocolate industries. The Belgian food processor is present in over a hundred countries and is rapidly expanding in Africa.

Puratos Ethiopia S.C., which produces pastry and bakery ingredients for bakers and pastry chefs in Ethiopia, marks another milestone in the company’s commitment to further establish itself in the growing continent. Puratos Ethiopia plans to serve local artisans, chain hotels, supermarkets, and restaurants, as well as envisions exporting to Djibouti, Sudan, Somalia, and Eritrea.
